Former physicist, now a construction engineer Andrey Fomin is accidentally thrown from 2012 into 1982—into the very autumn when Brezhnev died and, in effect, an entire era in the history of the Soviet country came to an end. Once inside his own body, only 30 years younger, Andrey doesn’t rush. The thought that history can be corrected a bit does occur to him, but for now it isn’t the main thing. He simply wants to return. Back. To the time that is familiar to him. And the chance for that exists—quite a good one. After all, in the future there are friends who want the same thing.

However, life is a complicated thing. Entering the same river twice—and even not trying to change its slow current—is almost impossible. But how will these changes affect the future, the hero of the novel doesn’t know. Not yet. Especially since he himself is far from perfect. Not a knight on a white horse. And that means he can make a mistake at every step—get lost, even by accident, in his own desires. And that would ruin not only his personal happiness, but also the lives of the people close to him.
