This is already the third novel by Andrey Vasiliev included in the cycle “A. Smolin, the Witcher.” A continuation of the story of Alexander Smolin—an aspiring witcher who had to come to know the World of Night. The more he learns about it, the more his life transforms, and the more trouble appears in it.

And the more problems fall on his head, the less enthusiasm he has for dealing with them. Besides, the shadow of a long-forgotten goddess won’t leave the witcher alone, invisibly following him wherever he goes. Alexander’s fate is hardly enviable, but he has no choice…

But that doesn’t mean he’ll throw up his hands and surrender to fate’s mercy. Yes, Smolin isn’t a knight in shining armor and not a superhero in a cape fluttering in the wind—that’s true. But who said that a simple bank clerk can’t do a lot? He most certainly can. Especially if you corner him.
