“Doodles” are a special genre. They’re neither poetry, nor thoughts, nor sayings. It’s Petr Mamonov. I didn’t understand right away what was happening. I lacked the courage to see through it—stereotypes were pressing down. After all, the more brilliant the creation, the more inner strength it takes to grasp the essence of what’s being offered. But over time, all that ended up in my head, in my soul—and stayed there, because the doodles are exactly what they are. A speck in poems, a trifle of thoughts, Tenderness of contemplation, metal in phrases—Lies, truth… In short, doodles: What God invented and genius recorded. Vladimir Kondrashov
