Sabrina and Daphne Grimm gradually get used to the unusual life in a small town where fairy-tale characters live alongside people. The sisters go to a school run by the famous Pied Piper of Hamelin, and Daphne studies in a class with Snow White. The girl is in complete delight—she loves everything about Ferrryport Landing. Sabrina, however, distrusts the eternal dwellers and believes they are somehow involved in the kidnapping of the parents. To save them, she searches in her grandmother’s books for a magical remedy.

But one day, at school, a murder occurs: a giant spider throttles Sabrina’s teacher, Mr. Bruesgner. Sheriff Swinson asks Grandma Relda and the sisters to help with the investigation. As a result, they find out that the eternal dwellers are preparing an escape from the town bewitched by the Baba Yaga.
