It is the year 1714. In Europe, the outlines of the revived Roman Empire are becoming increasingly clear as a union of the Habsburgs and the Bourbons. Russia clashes with this titan almost everywhere, with a mass of proxy wars. Russia is being tried—out of habit—to be “put in its place,” driven “under the bench.” But it doesn’t fit there. Even if Russia wanted to—there’s no room anymore.

The air crackles. It smells of ozone. The world stands on the threshold of a Great War.
