A person from the year 2015 ends up in the body of his ancestor in 1917 and changes the course of history. At the same time, Nicholas II’s brother, Mikhail, from the past is moved into the body of his fifteen-year-old great-great-grandson in 2015—in a new world created by his descendant. This world isn’t like ours: the global war ended in 1939; nuclear and chemical strikes destroyed Europe and the United States; and the Terra of Unity became the dominant power. The character is surrounded by advanced science and technology, with lunar and orbital cities. His young wife belongs to a clan that owns one third of the Earth. Yet despite the apparent prosperity, they are forced to hide their conversations from all-seeing scanners, pretending to be a loving couple.

Society is tired of stagnation and of the Ohran-ka’s rule, run by old men, and it craves change. Mikhail becomes a symbol of these changes and their leader. A great storm is approaching.
