There are countless worlds. They live, they evolve, they die—and in the dying ones, Darkness arrives. And people start falling into such worlds: some by accident, and some, as it turns out, not. But most inhabitants of these worlds have no time for thinking about the complexity of how the world works: they survive and try to build themselves a normal life even as Darkness approaches. Or at least something resembling normal. As they can, as they know how.
