Vladimir Biryukov, a “traveler” capable of moving through different realities, during a transition “by accident” is “accidentally” pulled into a world that strangely resembles the wild 1990s in Russia that is no longer Soviet. Moreover, the prototype whom Vladimir will have to replace is a criminal—an organized-crime-group member, a “bratok,” with all that entails. And soon Biryukov starts to understand that the reality surrounding him, which at first glance seems quite livable, is far more frightening than the world of monsters and the nearby approaching Darkness.
