The Word and Purity: Illusion

10 hrs. 32 min.
We present an audio version of the novel “Illusion.” This is the second book in the popular series “Word and Purity,” written at the intersection of the genres bōjar-anime and reincarnation/fantasy transmigration (“popadanets”). The main character is a war correspondent with experience from hot spots and a passion for fencing instilled in him by his wife—a Master of Sports. The hero dies right at the beginning of the book and ends up in the body of a teenager living in another world. The teenager isn’t simple. He is a reach—an “altered/warped” fighter. In other words, he is able to move into a parallel space where, for the main world, he becomes practically invulnerable. Every reach has a blade directly connected to the owner’s identity and influencing him. The “warp” hides all sorts of dangers: it constantly spits out unknown monsters, and it is the reach’s duty to protect his world—even at the cost of his own life.

Being trapped in someone else’s shell makes the hero unique. He has two blades instead of one: the first is from his past self, and the second from his new self. Their names are Word and Purity. One can’t stand lies; the other is always ready to stand up for the weak. The hero quickly gets used to the new world for him and tries to figure out why monster invasions are happening. And, of course, the blades pull him into all sorts of adventures that he himself would likely happily avoid. Listen to the continuation of the reach’s adventures.
