Seventeen-year-old Hanna stopped speaking after her twin sister Izzy died. Hanna feels that with Izzy she lost part of herself. To ease her pain, she writes letters to Izzy every day, and then burns them. Hanna’s parents send her to a boarding school for teenagers who have experienced psychological trauma. There she meets Sarah and a sympathetic boy, Levi. For Hanna, it’s a chance to let go of the past and find herself again. But how do you take a step toward a new life when you can’t utter a single word?
