The Phantom

After three years away, former police officer Harry Hole returns to Norway to investigate another murder. This time, the motive is deeply personal: the accused is the son of his former lover Rakel. Harry knew Oleg as a child and is now ready to break his back to prove him innocent. Since the murdered man was a drug dealer, Harry starts searching in that direction. During his unofficial investigation, he learns about the existence of a mysterious man who runs the local drug network. No one knows his name. He appears out of nowhere, like a ghost, gives orders, kills and pardons, and then disappears again. His assistants act harshly and kill without hesitation.
