Phantom

After three years away, former policeman Harry Hole returns to Norway to investigate another murder. This time, the motives are deeply personal: the accused is the son of his former girlfriend Rakel. Harry knew Oleg when he was a child and now is ready to go to any lengths to prove his innocence. Since the murdered man was a drug dealer, Harry begins searching in that direction. During his unofficial investigation, he learns of the existence of a mysterious man who controls the local drug network. No one knows his name. He appears out of nowhere, like a ghost—gives orders, condemns and pardons, then vanishes again. His accomplices act brutally and kill without hesitation.
