The whole city is in panic—somehow, on a perfectly ordinary, unremarkable factory, women are disappearing. Completely different in age, appearance, and style of dress, they had only one thing in common: their job as sewing-machine operators. They all left work in the evening—but never made it home. What happened to them? And why, over half a year, not a single body was found or any trace of the disappearances? The police were at a dead end, and the mysterious case would have to be illuminated by private detective Tatyana Ivanova. The only way to help the unfortunate and prevent new crimes is to catch the criminal “in the act”—as bait. Apparently, Ivanova will have to take the role of the victim, and to do that she must learn… to sew.
