The Immortal Squad

Long ago, in the glorious medieval past, the country needed specially trained and hardened warriors. The Tsar understood that one regular army wasn’t enough. Needed were heroes whom you could trust with the most complex, dangerous, and significant tasks—the fate of the state depended on them. And let there be only a few of these heroes, but make sure they could go through fire and water, fight alone against a dozen enemies, and penetrate even the most impregnable strongholds of the enemy—and win.

And in 1549, a special Tsar’s company was created. Just twelve people. A dozen legendary heroes, carefully selected across all of Rus’. They were ordered to go to the border with the Kazan Khanate, break the numerous raider detachments of Murza Zahir Salman, and—besides—take the murza himself alive and unharmed. Such a task is fitting for an entire army—and even then, the question is: will they manage?

But these twelve fighters are trained not to discuss orders. At dawn, they set out on the march…
