Mar’yana’s life collapsed into a chasm along with her beloved sister Jeanne and her little niece Dasha, who died during a vacation on the Black Sea: they fell from a cliff and crashed into the rocks.
For reasons that no one could explain, Jeanne’s husband grew distant from his wife’s family, which caused Mar’yana’s parents even more suffering. The girl wanted to understand what lay behind the sudden alienation, and Ilya told her that Jeanne had jumped off the cliff herself, together with her daughter.
Trying to figure out what drove her sister to such a wild act, Mar’yana found herself drawn into events that could not be explained logically. And soon she learned that her sister and niece were far from the only ones to die in such an inexplicable and terrifying way. What’s more, this happens every three years, and all those deaths somehow are connected.
