After the failure of the operation to expand the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, the “Children of the Black Moon,” or simply “the Blacks,” go all in. The new battlefield is sunny Brazil. The rules are the same—no rules. The information that had previously been rumors has been confirmed: at the site of the catastrophe in Rio de Janeiro, an anomalous Zone appeared—just like two drops of water like the Chernobyl one. Mutants, anomalies, and artifacts—come as a package.
Arthur Orlov, in the past an authoritative criminal, is now a fugitive trying to put his past behind him. He runs a small business smuggling artifacts out of the Brazilian Zone, but his life changes dramatically when a mysterious hacker calling himself Soft—and a sinister group called “New Dawn”—get involved. Ordinary transportation of anomalous cargo ends with the murder of a politician and a wild race for survival, with the finish inside the perimeter of the Rio Zone. Orlov must survive on a deadly territory, obtain proof of his innocence, and return past the Perimeter. As for helpers—only an escaped slave and a ruthless mercenary.
