“Dunno on the Moon” is a novel-fairy tale with elements of science fiction and political satire from the series about Dunno’s adventures.
In the prehistory of the main events, Zнайka travels to the Moon in a multi-stage rocket together with Fuksia and Selyodochka from the Sunny City. From the journey he brings back a lunar mineral with unusual properties and names it lunite. After a series of events it turns out that his closeness to a magnet creates a zone of weightlessness—allowing a spaceship with a large crew and supplies aboard to be sent to the Moon.
However, Dunno’s being removed from the flight for jokes involving the weightlessness device makes these plans unexpected. Dunno persuades Ponchik, who is also not included in the crew, to fly “as a stowaway.” But during the night before the flight, Ponchik, who changes his mind about flying, instead of getting out of the rocket accidentally launches it into flight in automatic mode…
