Don't Go Serve in the Infantry! Book 2: War by the Rules of Peacetime

This is the second book in the series “Don’t go serve in the infantry!” The hero of the book is an officer of the Soviet Army, commander of a motorized rifle platoon, who ended up in the Transcaucasus, in Nagorno-Karabakh on a permanent assignment. In his eyes, the USSR began to fall apart, and Russia became independent. The book tells how the Soviet Army in the Red Banner Transcaucasus Military District broke down and degraded; how people lived, served, were friends, loved, fought, hated—and how they related to those events. The main characters of this book are the result of the author’s imagination, so any resemblance to real people and events can only be coincidental.
