“Echoes of the Silver Wind” is my attempt to find an exit from the dead end our world is stuck in—a dead end of meanness, cruelty, and greed.

To a sophisticated reader, the world of the Aar’n order may seem somewhat schematic. It might be. But it was important for me to convey the main idea; secondary details and scientific accuracy aren’t especially important to me.

Units of weight, length, and time in the novel are given in familiar terms for Russian-speaking readers.

New terms are explained either in the text itself or in footnotes. New idiomatic turns of phrase are adapted closer to Russian ones and, I hope, won’t cause the reader any trouble.

Any coincidences with real people or events are purely accidental; from beginning to end, the novel is the product of the author’s imagination.
