The Irishman Michael Forsyth leaves blood-soaked Belfast for New York and joins a gangster gang under the nickname the Dark White. Thinking he’s found a solid roof, Michael starts playing dangerous games. He sleeps with the boss’s mistress—risky even if the boss isn’t a notorious gangster. After receiving an assignment to travel to Mexico for a shipment of drugs, Michael ends up in a Mexican prison, from which he manages to escape. Feeling that he’s been “set up,” he returns to New York to take revenge—but very soon realizes that revenge is a double-edged thing.
