I do not serve the darkness—but I will turn your light against you, making it your weapon. Sounds convoluted? That, in essence, is my plan: to restore the lost grandeur to the native world and to take revenge on a lying creature-traitor who has seized the throne of the supreme deity.
I am the last archon of the Order of Equilibrium, a nearly ordinary gifted person—not capable of changing the fates of worlds with a single move. That means I will have to search everywhere for new sources of power and for those who are willing to stand beside me. My gift is to maintain equilibrium in any system, to connect the incompatible—too obvious, so I will choose a game of two masks: the dark one, for whom there are no taboos, and the light one—a true paladin, an authentic aristocrat, the defender of the empire, and perhaps of the goddess herself.
The main thing is left to understand: why a black hole gapes in the sky instead of the sun, why the goddess of demons—whom everyone hates—reached out her hand to me, and how the shards of alien worlds turned into an inexhaustible source of both opportunities and threats.
