A trouble struck a seemingly prosperous family of the deputy minister Verbitsky—their daughter Anna, an eccentric and impulsive girl, disappeared. Connections and status matter: the Minister of Internal Affairs orders the search to be carried out by Colonel Gurov.
In searching for the girl, the detective had to go down to the very bottom of the criminal world, where, in its depths, everything is intertwined: drugs and drug dealers, a maniac who calls himself and kills his victims brutally, and the grime of the show business—prostitutes and pimps. It seems Anna vanished without a trace into that world, but the detective manages to find a lead.
