Fortress of Hope

Centuries have passed since the monstrous wars of mages and half of the continent was turned into a wasteland covered in ash, unfit for life. Once magnificent cities now lie in ruins, inhabited by monsters and undead so dangerous that a border wall had to be built to shield peaceful residents from the deadly threat. And so the Wild Lands appeared… A small detachment led by Baron Coris Van Isser is exiled to permanent settlement in the Wild Lands—which in essence is only a delay of the death sentence, as the Empire, ruled by the iron hand of an aging king, gets rid of those who are inconvenient. The settlers have only one task: survive at any cost, against everything and everyone.
