“Baker King” from the small town of N in the Moscow region—an elderly billionaire, Pyotr Stepanovich Ryabov—becomes the victim of high technology and comes to his senses in 1553. Around him is 16th-century Rus’: on the throne sits Ivan the Terrible, Kazan was taken literally just days ago, and somewhere ahead the shadow of the Time of Troubles is already gathering. As for the hero himself, he is no longer a wealthy master of life, but a young Greek cook named Geliy—and he will have not only to survive, but also to rise in the world in this harsh, unfamiliar reality. But a resourceful person will always find something to build upon—even in the past, especially since it seems the Rus’ people back then were also not averse to treating themselves to something like éclairs!
P.S. There won’t be speech that fully corresponds to the 16th century—however, I’m trying to preserve the atmosphere and local color.
