He was forced to assume the obligations of leading a Crusade, bringing under his command many crusaders from all over Europe. But he doesn’t want to do it. Simply because it isn’t necessary and isn’t beneficial—for him, and for Rus as well. At least not now and not in this configuration. Will Ioann be able to wriggle out of it?
