Hellgate, Louisiana is one of those provincial towns where nothing happens—the life is simple and clear. When a dead body is found in the swamps, the new sheriff of Hellgate takes on the investigation of what happened seven years ago. He’s helped by a local journalist and an приехавшая amateur detective. But the first one clearly hides the truth about her past, while the second is the witch’s niece from a local coven. On top of that, the sheriff has problems with vampires, and in the swamps a huge monster is roaming around.
