This isn’t how I imagined the game. Here, lying walks hand in hand with betrayal, extortion—and even slavery. There are normal players, not that few of them, trying to live by the rules and honor. But sometimes black is passed off as white, and lies are dressed up as truth.
By the will of the network, complex tasks and missions are set before me—ones I didn’t even know existed. Elimination or survival races are replaced by fleeing from hunters. I have to get involved in scraps with injustice and vile treachery. I have to help restore life for ordinary players who, because of their credulity and naivety, chased after promises and ended up in a hopeless situation. I have to run to a neighboring game-world where monsters are everywhere and treat you as nothing but prey. Without all of that, you can’t reach the finish.
Throughout the game, friends and enemies walk with me side by side: some help in a hard moment, others are ready to stick a knife in your back—but in the end you have to rely on yourself and luck. The goal is set, the gas is poured in, an amulet is on your neck, and your foot presses the gas pedal down to the floor. Victory will come—once the set goal is achieved! I hope so…
