Editor-in-Chief: Back to the USSR. Book 1

8 hrs. 21 min.
The second half of the 1980s is underway. Perestroika, glasnost, the first rock concerts, and a light breeze of change. Russian journalist Zhenya Krotov, after getting caught in an accident in 2024, finds himself in the body of the editor-in-chief of a Soviet district newspaper.

Now he has to raise provincial journalism to an all-Union level. Without Telegram, Instagram, and other “grams.” And speaking of those—he also won’t be able to drink his sorrows away, because the country is fighting alcoholism.

And what’s the point anyway? If fate gives you a second chance, only a fool would fail to use it!

We fill soda from a vending machine, take ice cream in a waffle cup, put on your favorite record (don’t forget to wipe the dust off)—and you can read.

Author’s note. The hero’s adventures are largely inspired by the real work of one of the co-authors in regional media.
