Fraks had no intention of doing anything in the near future. But when the guards forcibly dragged a student out of his “office”—the student of a famous sculptor, accused of murdering his teacher—Fraks’s pride flared, and he decided to get to the bottom of the case. At first glance everything seemed clear: the student had fallen in love with the teacher’s wife and decided to eliminate a competitor. But very soon events began to unfold with unheard-of speed. First, some mountain monks (and straight from two monasteries at once) show interest in Fraks; then the strange friend of Macri, named Dandelion, asks him to return the sacred stone of dolphins; and then, to make matters worse, a would-be arsonist is hiding in Fraks’s house—someone criminals from the Brotherhood are hunting. All in all, a nightmare.
