Andrey Kruz is a Russian writer, author of several cycles and standalone novels in the genre of military science fiction. His works sparked a wave of imitators — among them those whose plots unfold in worlds invented by him.
The post-apocalyptic trilogy “The Age of the Dead” is one of the most famous series by Andrey Kruz. Scientists try to create a virus that would completely protect its carrier from all diseases, but another game “at being a Creator” turns into catastrophe. Experiments show that the obtained strain not only kills disease-causing microorganisms, but also “revives” the carrier’s body after death, turning the corpse into a zombie — a devourer of living people. The virus is extremely contagious. By a ridiculous accident, it escapes the laboratory. The world is doomed: only those who are ready to fight for life to the very end will survive. Weapons, off-road vehicles, courage, and discipline — these are the keys to salvation.
