Winter of 1943. On a timely aircraft, Captain Berkut’s detachment manages to break out of the deadly clutches of an encirclement organized by his sworn enemy, Hauptsturmführer Stuber. However, the Russian saboteurs never got to reach “the mainland.” The plane was shot down, and the war once again caught up with the Berkut men. Unexpectedly, they found themselves at the front line, forced to defend a captured bridgehead that covered a river crossing.
