1849. While traveling in Switzerland, Anita Morrientes and her husband Alex meet interesting fellow travelers—an American named Green and a dapper young man traveling incognito. A sudden quarrel in the compartment forces the whole group to get off at the station, and as a result, the couple and their companions end up behind the train. Unexpectedly, this turns out to be a stroke of luck: unknown bandits attack the train, pursuing the dapper youth. A chain of shootouts follows, but the Maksimovs and their companions manage to escape. Later, they learn that the dapper young man is none other than the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph himself.
