The story continues around Felix, who lives in and explores a parallel or perpendicular world. An old tower near a lonely bastion, located by two cities separated by the upper reaches of the Patokvozh River, becomes the key location. Lakes and valleys form the forward line against the dark. This is a zone of exclusion, where Felix awaits a dangerous journey in the role of a Free Hunter and Mage-Wolf Rider in the harsh borderlands. He is connected to the heritage of the Rurikids and presses forward, solving riddles and overcoming difficulties in search of answers. New acquaintances don’t always understand his views on life, because he decides for himself what is acceptable and what isn’t—acting according to conscience and the call of his heart, ignoring established traditions and rules. In the cold borderlands, part of his fate and purpose may be hidden. To make sense of what’s happening, he will have to remember the prophecies of the oracle Lazary and understand something inexplicable that has suddenly fallen upon him.
