Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl is only twelve years old. At the very least, he’s a child prodigy and, perhaps, even a genius. His favorite pastime is devising the most devious plans. His family is a real legend of the criminal underworld. Over many generations, the Fowls amassed a serious fortune, but by the end of the 20th century their position had been badly shaken. Artemis’s father—the main culprit, by the way, behind the family’s collapse—disappeared in an unknown direction; his mother, from grief, fell ill and can barely recognize her own son. In short, there’s not much left of the family’s former greatness. So Artemis is determined to correct his father’s mistakes and return their lost glory and splendor to the family. And he intends to do it in the most unusual way imaginable. To achieve his goal, Artemis needs gold—in plenty. But where else to find gold besides the magical people?
