1917: The Sovereign of the Revolution

12 hrs. 53 min.
A revolution cannot be prevented. It can only be led. Especially if, by the will of fate, you become the All-Russian emperor in the midst of the February Revolution of 1917. The new Tsar, Mikhail the Second, can restore order and seize power only by relying on the army—and for that he was forced to promise everything the soldiers wanted to hear: a swift peace, a fair division of the landed gentry’s land, reforms, and the building of a new, fair Russia.

But the old system refuses to yield and fights back. Assassination attempts, conspiracies, uprisings. Intrigues and provocations carried out by foreign intelligence services. Resistance from the former masters of life. The world war continuing for the third year and the loss of enormous territories. Economic backwardness and poverty. Hundreds, thousands of problems and insoluble contradictions. It seems that history itself has risen against our hero—and it is the very history he will have to change.

So, by a whim of fate, the seat of power in the Russian Empire holds not even a reforming tsar, but a forced leader of the revolution—its sovereign. Will our time-traveler’s knowledge of what comes after help? Will he be able to keep the country from civil war, military defeat, and the deaths of many millions? Will he be allowed to create a new Russia?
