The Traitor's Trail

The Traitor's Trail

7 hrs. 1 min.
In the early 1990s, the Soviet Union is on the verge of collapse, and the security forces try to retain their staff. Major of the KGB, Andrey Kravtsov, is tasked with protecting a valuable agent code-named Sirius, who operates in MI6. Disguised as a embassy staffer, he goes to London, where he finds that Sirius is a young, attractive woman facing deadly danger. She has compromising material on a British parliamentarian connected to the royal family. Andrey plans to evacuate the agent through a channel arranged by his former comrade. But he doesn’t take into account that in this chaotic time, yesterday’s ally may become a traitor.

The enemy is cunning and calculating, relying on logic and persistence, but they don’t foresee that they’re facing Soviet counterintelligence officers—true professionals, people of honor and determination.

In Valery Sharapov’s novels, the timing is conveyed so convincingly that it feels like you’re among the heroes—unflappable investigators, ingenious criminals, and terrified citizens. And experienced detectives may take you for one of their own and draw you into another risky operation.
