A Happy Tail – A Happy Me!

This charity collection is created in support of the shelter “Happy Tail”: by buying the book, you help its residents move closer to being well-fed, warm, and having their own home. The audio edition includes the author’s foreword, a section “About the Authors,” and acknowledgements read by book blogger Elena Chernyshova (TG channel “What Lenochka is Reading”).

Once, the ceiling collapsed at the “Happy Tail” shelter, and then a series of inevitable expenses followed—rent, transport, medicines. It became clear that without regular support capable of covering at least part of the costs, the shelter could not cope. That’s how the project idea came about: to collect stories and direct the proceeds to help the shelter so it can feel more confident.

But the book is not only about charity. Inside there are twenty bright stories by contemporary Russian authors about cats in a wide range of genres: from psychological prose to magical realism, from joyful plots with a good ending to tender memories of pets dear to the heart. Each story, in its own way, reminds us why cats make our lives warmer and better.

The collection will make a wonderful gift for those who love cats and cozy reading. And for the residents of “Happy Tail,” every purchased book is another step toward a full bowl, a safe home, and meeting their person.
