In the Russian state in 1707, the tsarevich Alexei is under the care of Prince Menshikov, who pays him little attention. During a trip to the bathhouse, the tsarevich lost consciousness and woke up in the body of our contemporary Ivan Pesterov, who had died from a lightning strike. Now he faces a choice: remain tsarevich Alexei—who disappointed his father—or take the difficult path of change by following the cause of Peter the Great.
