Alexander Morozov, an old and experienced prisoner from a corrective colony, dies, and his consciousness is transferred into the past—the distant year 1978.
The USSR is in full swing, and Morozov finds himself in the body of a slight, bespectacled dog trainer. Now he is a Soviet policeman—a green lieutenant. His colleagues watch him with mockery; the boss is ready to get rid of him; and the service dog doesn’t recognize him. But Morozov knows all the police “kitchen”—because his whole life he was on the other side of the barricades. Using the skills of a “proper thief,” he more and more often starts solving crimes himself and gaining authority in the department.
Only—strangely enough, in the city people begin committing odd crimes. And the local Criminal Investigation inspector is, in fact, a real werewolf in uniform.
