Foreign language teacher Darya Dontsova began writing during an illness, in the hospital, to distract herself from reality. And since then she hasn’t stopped—especially because her books turn out interesting and funny; in short, they are “Ironical Detective” stories.
The heroine of her works is a slightly scatterbrained woman named Dasha Vasilieva, who has two adopted children that she received as inheritance from her former husbands. She is in some ways like the author too: she also teaches languages, has a home full of children, dogs, and cats… Just a couple of books are enough to fall in love with this a bit crazy family and eagerly wait for the next meeting with it. Especially because Dasha is always managing to get tangled up in some detective story that she must surely unravel.
