The crew of the colonial transport “Krivich” after a subspace jump because of a miscalculation finds itself in an unexplored region of the galaxy. The alternative is simple: find an oxygen planet or die. But even if the search turns out successful, that doesn’t mean the new home will welcome the owners with joy; it may start a war against the invaders, using all its forces and resources.
