Chicago reels from a terrible incident: right from a school concert, a girl disappears, and at the abduction site they find a white rose. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is that a serial killer is at work here—several children have already been his victims. The FBI has exactly seven days to prevent tragedy this time. The investigation is assigned to agent Brie Adams. The clock is ticking, and she decides to contact Nathan Bishop—someone from her youth, where there were both abusive parents and hunger, poverty, and connections to dark individuals. Nathan least of all wants to get involved in this case, but he feels that Brie needs him—and that pushes him to agree. They’ll have to resurrect the past to uncover the truth, save the child, and reveal a mystery that will explain much.
