A city of white stone, having survived two heroic defenses, was struck by Misfortune that in an instant swept the whole world—causing the death of our civilization in the form we knew it. The dead have risen, endlessly thirsting for flesh, roaming the city streets, sowing ruin and death, and horrifying those who remained alive.

Three heroes, three fates, and three chosen roads. For each of them, everything begins in its own way—and this new era will bring each something different. After all, the new era is the era of the dead.
