Arthur is fired from his job, and to secure a comfortable living, he decides to strike big in the virtual world of a full-immersion game. For that, the hero—who goes by the gaming name Dog from the Forgotten Pack—plans to eliminate many top players at once and simply sell the items and artifacts that “drop” after their virtual deaths—called “loot” in the game. But the attempt to carry out this diversion only results in moderators banning Arthur in the virtual world. Meanwhile, the top players are eager to track down the culprit in the real world and deal with him.
In the second book, the Dog from the Forgotten Pack’s adventures continue. With no roof over his head, hunted both by law enforcement and by criminal structures, the hero keeps hiding and surviving. At the same time, he tries to log into the game every free minute and achieve his goals there, because in the game events unfold no less dramatically: there is a hunt for the treasures of assassin Shadow Kain and a struggle for the throne of the beast-people.
