For ages, an echo of prophecy has sounded over the world: “Fire will drive water onto dry land; water will free the land, calming the flame that came from outside. But the land will dry out the water down to the last drop—and then the fire will return to enslave the land forever.”

Once the moregi—rulers of the ocean—rose to the surface to escape the destruction of their underwater home. They fought dragons that brought ruin and slavery to people. The moregi won, but paid far too high a price: the dragons slipped into the shadows, harboring hatred, and the warriors of the sea lost part of their strength by binding their own fates to the fates of ordinary mortals.

Centuries passed. The balance wavered. The number of moregi among people dwindled, and the ancient darkness began to awaken again.

On the threshold of an approaching disaster, the story unfolds of T’yaroo the prince-morega and the earthly princess Eliza. Their marriage is an agreement and an obligation, but Eliza holds onto hope for a returned feeling, while T’yaroo—since he is not human—cannot understand the human soul and is not ready for love. Their path is a chain of losses, bitterness and disappointments, difficult choices and an unyielding struggle: against enemies, against destiny, and against themselves.

When the moregi are on the brink of disappearing, and the dragons once again strain for freedom, the fate of the world hangs by a thread. Captivity and exile, betrayal and forgiveness—almost every hero will have to pass through trials, change, grow up, and find the courage to stand against evil.

This is an epic saga of the eternal confrontation between light and darkness in a unique world of ancient tales and legends, where heroes are made rather than born. Where even the strongest have to learn to love in order to win. Where faith, loyalty, and forgiveness prove to be weapons mightier than any magic.
