The Russian nuclear submarine “Dmitry Novgorodsky” continues its combat mission—only in a different era. The underwater cruiser becomes a formidable weapon in the fight against the fleet of the Third Reich. The operation “Wunderland” is carried out by Professor Ernst Schäffer.
“Wunderland” is one of the Third Reich’s greatest hopes for victory in the war. Without hesitation, Hitler allocated the heavy cruiser “Admiral Scheer” for the operation. The secret German base “Wunderland” is located at the northern tip of Novaya Zemlya. The base can’t be discovered by chance—but due to circumstances, the first officer of the Russian nuclear submarine, Dolgov, ended up on the shore—in Murmansk. And there fate brings him together with Professor Schäffer—an SS Obersturmbannführer, a favorite of Himmler, an adventurer and a spy… And the situation around the sub is growing tense: everyone is hunting for it—including Soviet ships. Even Beria arrives in Murmansk to personally lead the hunt for the ghost submarine…
