A Shot in the Face

Prosecutor’s commissioner Guido Brunetti is asked for help by colleagues from the carabinieri, investigating the murder of the owner of a small transport company. But they are clearly hiding something and not telling everything, forcing Brunetti once again to rely on the services of the charming Elettrom—his boss’s secretary—who is skilled in hacking techniques.

Finding the answer to the crime is especially difficult because the commissioner’s attention is constantly diverted by the mysterious Franka Marinello—a young wife of a major businessman whose once beautiful face was disfigured by plastic surgeons, turning it into a motionless mask. What secrets does this face hide? Brunetti won’t find the answer to this question until two more bloody murders occur.
