Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Kalikinsky is a journalist and prose writer, author of historical novels, and a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. The "Agasphere" series consists of five exciting spy retro-detective novels, four of which focus on the work of counterintelligence in Russia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The action of the final, fifth book takes place closer to our modern times and, in essence, serves as a sequel to the main storyline with other heroes.

World War II comes to an end. Japan surrenders and hands over all the weapons it has to the victors—even a collection of ancient swords, a symbol of the empire’s fighting spirit. The plane transporting the rarity to an American cruiser, due to difficult weather conditions, makes an emergency landing in Sakhalin, where the pilots hide the valuable cargo. But they themselves are captured by a leftover group of Japanese soldiers. The trail of the collection is lost.

Many years pass, and the collection begins to be searched for so it can be taken out of Russia. However, unexpectedly, a historian and writer Andrey Berg enters the game—an individual of Japanese nationality with Russian roots. A familiar surname for those who’ve read the previous books in the series.
