Allow me to introduce myself—my name is Alew! I’m an orphan, raised by one of Russia’s children’s homes. For fifteen years I’ve been searching for my parents and for meaning in my empty, cold life. Sometimes I feel as if this world is alien to me, and everything around is sheer grayness and hopelessness. And then, when the riddle of my birth is already so close to being solved, fate makes a move of its own—and I die.
But the gods have their own games, and they gave me a second chance at life.
A new life—with its own problems, its own difficulties and trials, and above all, the possibility to look into the past. Now I am a born-from-fire, and I have no choice but to fight—fight with all my might—because the fates of many non-humans depend on me, and so does my own!
This time I won’t miss my chance! In this new life I will learn to love—and I will become loved!
