Following the Snakes

Don’t believe that fairy tales end well. They reach for darkness. Even a few years after returning from Navi, the sisters notice strange shadows and white eyes in the crowd. Marya hides herself from herself in an icy sleep; in Anna, less and less remains of the human. And across the shattered sky, Navi stretches into the living world. And when Marya finds, instead of her sister, an ancient chthonic being in her body, all that’s left for her is to call for help—her biggest nightmare. And to go after the snakes, hoping she can still fix something.
